The Frontierland Theatre at Disneyland Paris opened in summer 2019. Construction work began in earnest in 2018 on the site where the Chaparral Theatre used to stand, so that the new stage could open in time for the premiere of The Lion King and Jungle Festival. Since then, the Frontierland Theatre has been used for the show Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands, a Broadway-style musical that premiered as part of the Lion King and Jungle Festival.
The theatre's stage is ideally suited to this show, and the theatre itself is equipped with state-of-the-art sound technology that allows the singers on stage to be located and the mix to be adjusted so that the sound is excellent in every seat in the auditorium. In addition, unlike its predecessor, there are no restrictions on visibility at the Frontierland Theatre, as there are no beams in front of the stage. The theatre is now an enclosed building that can be air-conditioned or heated as required, ensuring a comfortable experience for all. All in all, it is a state-of-the-art theatre in Disneyland Park, where we hope to see many more great shows in the coming years.
Incidentally, you will find the Frontierland Theatre in the immediate vicinity of the Frontierland Depot, the station where the Disneyland Railroad stops. The Frontierland Playground and the Cowboy Cookout Barbecue restaurant are also just a stone's throw away.
