This quick-service restaurant sits in World Premiere Plaza and replaces the former Restaurant en Coulisse, which was completely reworked as part of the park's redesign.
The area catches your eye as soon as you enter World Premiere, and you pass it automatically, since the restaurant sits in World Premiere right by the entrance. Opposite is Mickey's of Hollywood, one of the park's central shops, which makes this a good option if you split up for a moment and want to eat in peace while the rest of your group carries on browsing.
Compared with many other restaurants in the park, the Hollywood Gardens Restaurant feels deliberately more open and less 'enclosed'. You don't sit in a conventional indoor dining room but in a space that feels like part of its surroundings. That is exactly why it suits the transition from the entrance area into the themed worlds themselves.
Step into the seating area and it feels as though you have landed in the middle of a Hollywood premiere party. The space is designed as an illuminated garden where guests meet in the open air after a film premiere. Strings of lights run across the walkways, and the facades in the background recall film studios. Small details everywhere keep the scene alive. You are in fact indoors, but the impression of an open-air space is very convincing.
You order at modern terminals and then choose your seat freely. The generous seating area gives you room to take a breather without losing much time. At the start of your visit, or as a break between attractions and shows later in the day, the Hollywood Gardens Restaurant is a practical stop when hunger sets in.
Mornings are worth considering too. If a croissant, coffee and orange juice sound like a relaxed start to the day, this is the right place, particularly if you are in the park early and want to get your bearings first.
