Closed attractions at Disneyland Paris

Overview of closed rides, shows & attractions in both Disney parks

Disneyland Paris is open 365 days a year. This means that Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park are open year round and, unlike many other theme parks, there is no winter break. Conversely, this means that at Disneyland Paris there is also no break in which major repairs or maintenance can be carried out. In the two Disney Parks, all necessary work must take place in parallel with ongoing operations: regular maintenance and inspections, as well as spontaneous repair work or necessary renovations. For this reason, individual rides, roller coasters or attractions have repeatedly closed during the year. During this time, cables are exchanged, paint is renewed, the electronics are checked and other work is carried out.

If you are planning a visit to Disneyland Paris, you can get an overview of whether you are affected by renovations or closings here. On this page you will find an overview of all planned closings and repairs so that you can better plan your trip.

Please note that this overview of the closed attractions in Disneyland Paris does not claim to be 100% correct as there can always be changes at short notice.
We hope that despite all the closures, you can enjoy a wonderful stay! With the amount of rides and shows Disneyland Paris has to offer, you won't get bored easily!

Overview of planned renovations & closures

Closed attractions at Walt Disney Studios Park

The Walt Disney Studios Park is currently in a time of change and renovation. There is a large-scale expansion plan for which you can find all the details here.
But before something new can emerge, the old must move out. For this reason, the list of closed attractions in this Disney Park is currently somewhat longer.
But we can look forward to new subject areas with new attractions and shows in the coming years.

Overview of the current lockings

  • Disney Junior Live on Stage - Opening planned for autumn 2020
  • Studio Tram Tour from 6 January 2020 - Opening planned for autumn 2020

Permanently closed:

  • Rock'n'Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith - conversion to an Iron Man roller coaster

Closings of Disney Hotels & other projects

Outside of the two theme parks, Disneyland Paris almost always renovates, builds and improves. Among other things, the Disney Hotels are also affected by these measures.
Disney's Hotel New York is currently completely closed as it is undergoing a major renovation and a new theming. The grand reopening of the hotel was planned for June 15, 2020 and is due to Corona postponed indefinitely: Disney's Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel will most-likely welcome Marvel fans from all over the world from spring 2021.

The Disneyland Hotel is likely to be renovated. However, no exact dates and details are known about this renovation plan.
