You can still get by at Disneyland Paris without a smartphone, but having an internet connection makes many things much easier. The Disneyland Paris app is particularly useful during your stay. It shows current queue times, show and parade schedules, and opening times for restaurants and attractions. You can also access various services directly from your smartphone. Having an internet connection is therefore quite handy when spending a day in the Disney Parks.
You don’t necessarily need to use your mobile data allowance for this. Free Wi-Fi is available in Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World. You can also connect to the Disneyland Paris Wi-Fi in the Disney Hotels and parts of Disney Village. This can save you quite a bit of money, especially if you have a limited mobile data allowance.
However, don’t expect miracles from the free Wi-Fi. Connection quality and speed depend on where you are and how many guests are using the network at the same time, among other factors. The connection is generally good enough for using the Disneyland Paris app, checking messages or quickly browsing the internet. For larger downloads and uploads, video uploads or streaming, your mobile data connection may work considerably better. If you need a stable internet connection throughout your stay, it’s best not to rely on the Wi-Fi alone.
