There are often long queues at the attractions, particularly at weekends and on public holidays. At first glance, these might seem off-putting, but if you follow a few simple guidelines, you can save a lot of time and avoid unnecessary queuing!
The early bird catches the worm! The park is still relatively quiet when it first opens, with the crowds only arriving as the day goes on. If you have the chance, make the most of Extra Magic Time to experience a few attractions without long queues. Extra Magic Time is a special benefit for guests staying at the official Disney themed hotels.
Visit the top attractions in the morning, when they are not as busy.
If the queues are particularly long and you want to experience one or two of the top attractions, consider using Disney Premier Access.
Are you travelling on your own, or would you be happy to ride one or two rollercoasters separately from the rest of your group? Then use the Single Rider Line.
Don’t plan too many shows and parades, as these take up quite a lot of time. If you’ve already watched the parade or aren’t interested in it, visit the top attractions while it’s on, as the queues there are usually shorter during the parade.
Avoid eating at peak times, between 12 noon and 2 pm and between 6 pm and 8 pm. Restaurants are very busy during these periods, so you may spend a long time waiting for your food.
Save your shopping for the afternoon, when the park is busy. That way, you won’t waste time shopping in the morning.
