The Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Park

Embark on a fairytale journey through the magical Disney world of Disneyland Park.

Since 1984, the Walt Disney Company has considered the possibility of opening a theme park in Europe, modelled after the Magic Kingdom parks in the United States. Finally, on 12 April 1992, Disneyland Paris opened its doors. Located in the Marne-la-Vallée area, near Paris, it has since become a place of enchantment, as noted on the plaque commemorating the park's inauguration.

Disneyland Park is divided into five themed areas: Main Street, U.S.A.; Frontierland; Adventureland; Fantasyland; and Discoveryland. Each area has a unique theme that corresponds to its name. The iconic castle overlooks the entire park, serving as a magical centrepiece.

As the most popular amusement park in Europe, Disneyland Park attracts visitors not only for the thoughtful and intricate design of its attractions but also for how its roller coasters and other rides seamlessly blend into their corresponding themes, enriching the storytelling of each land.

One of the most enchanting aspects of all Disney parks is their ability to transport visitors into a world of magic almost immediately. Upon stepping through the gates, everyday life fades away, and you become fully immersed in the captivating world of Disney.

If you've never experienced a Disney park before, regardless of your location in the world, it's hard to imagine what that feeling would be like. But rest assured, you will be swept up in the magic! The perfect combination of design, background music, and technical implementation is simply irresistible. It's common for adults to find themselves happily humming along on Main Street without even realising it.

Disneyland Park appeals not only to fans of roller coasters and carousels from around the globe but also to those who wish to meet Mickey Mouse or lose themselves in another world for a few days.

Shopping and dining are also essential aspects of the Disney experience, so it's no surprise that Disneyland Park is filled with boutiques, shops, and a variety of restaurants.

Come and be part of the magic of Disneyland Paris, and allow yourself to get swept away as you rediscover the joy of being a child again.

The themed lands of the Disneyland Park

Main Street, U.S.A.

A view from Town Square along Main Street U.S.A. to Sleeping Beauty Castle

A typical American main street in a small town from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries: Main Street, U.S.A.
It was designed after the (admittedly somewhat transfigured) model of Marceline, Missouri, the small town where Walt Disney spent part of his childhood.
Along Main Street, U.S.A., you will find numerous shops and restaurants as well as the central service facilities of the park.
You can stroll down the street, take a traditional horse-drawn carriage ride, or drive in style in a vintage car, whichever you prefer.
At the buildings on Main Street, U.S.A., you will discover many hidden secrets, such as allusions to Walt Disney or the Imagineers. It is worthwhile to examine this part of Disneyland Park with an open mind. You will be surprised by how much you can discover here.

Shows and parades at Disneyland Park

The float with Nemo, Crush, Squirt and Co. at the Disney Stars on Parade in front of the castle

Disneyland is much more than an amusement park. There are not only carousels and roller coasters here, but also lots of shows, and of course, the daily parade. Hardly any other park can match this offer and knows how to draw guests under its magical spell. Don't forget to take a current program with you to the park entrance, which provides an overview of all the shows and parades scheduled for the day.
The two daily highlights are: Disney Stars on Parade and Disney Tales of Magic.

Depending on the season, there are also other shows or parades that will be absolutely magical. There are musical performances of Broadway quality in the Frontierland Theatre, as well as funny shows featuring Mickey Mouse and his friends, the dance of the princesses, or a season-appropriate parade, where, for example, Santa Claus or the Disney villains are the stars.
As already mentioned, you will find all dates, locations and times listed in the program, or you can use the Disneyland Paris app to get around.
