Frontierland Playground

Children can really let off steam here: slides, swings and other equipment invite them to play.

This playground is a large facility for children up to age 12 and allows families to take a break from the park's hustle and bustle.

The Frontierland Playground is located away from the hustle and bustle of the amusement park, at the back of Frontierland. Simply walk past the Premier Access entrance to Big Thunder Mountain, continue towards the Frontierland Theatre, and you will find the playground on your left.
Rest assured, this playground is equipped with various slides, swings, climbing frames, and all the fun elements you'd expect. To ensure your little ones' safety, the entire floor is covered with a soft, cushioned surface, minimising the risk of any injuries.
If you want to relax a little and don't want your children to get bored, this is a great place to let them have fun while you relax on one of the many benches around the playground. You can always keep an eye on your children.

The playground is ideal for families with children who want to take a break. Here, the children can play and romp around, and afterwards, all family members can relax and recharge their batteries, for example, with a small picnic on the benches at the edge of the grounds. A few apples or sandwiches will give you new energy for the rest of the day. Or, after you visit the playground, you can go to the Cowboy Cookout Barbecue, located directly opposite, and treat yourself to a burger or one of the other hearty dishes served there.

Once upon a time at the Frontierland Playground
Once upon a time, when Disneyland Park opened in 1992, the Indian Canoes jetty was located here. It was a unique experience, paddling through the Rivers of the Far West with two guides. This site has a rich history that we're proud to share with you.
In 1996, the Pocahontas Indian Village was built on this site – a playground designed to resemble the Indian village from the film Pocahontas.
In early summer 2019, the site was reborn as the Frontierland Playground. This change was a natural evolution, as the site had long since moved beyond its Pocahontas theme.
