This cosy café at the right end of Main Street serves cakes, drinks and milkshakes, as well as a few small snacks.
Victoria's Home Style Restaurant is more than just a place to eat; it's a culinary experience. It's a cosy retreat, designed to resemble the lounge area of a charming Midwestern bed and breakfast. The decor, with its warm tones and inviting ambience, is especially comforting on a dreary day. There's nothing quite like sitting by the window at Victoria's, sipping on a steaming hot cocoa topped with thick cream, and simply relaxing.
As soon as you enter Victoria's, you find yourself in the small kitchen of the guesthouse. The kitchen is dominated by a vast black kitchen appliance, known as the 'pie safe', which makes you feel as though you've stepped back in time. Take a seat in the living room or dining room and take your time choosing the drink of your choice, which will then be served to you. Each room is lovingly and meticulously decorated, so take your time to admire the countless decorative items.
The guest rooms could be upstairs, and if you have the time and listen carefully outside the front door, you may hear one of the overnight guests singing in the shower. In reality, of course, there are no guest rooms; instead, the park has a restaurant for its employees.
If you look closely inside the restaurant, you will surely notice the electrical cables, which appear to have been added later and are not concealed in the wall. This is intentional, as the guesthouse and café are designed to resemble the turn of the 19th to the 20th century, when electricity was gradually spreading and making its way into homes.
The stained glass windows are also typical of this period.
The wallpaper and ceiling borders are a tribute to William Morris, a leading figure of the Arts and Crafts movement. His influence is evident in the intricate patterns and designs that adorn the walls and ceilings, adding a touch of elegance and history to the space.
