The cosy Market House Deli, centrally located on Main Street, is a haven for sandwich lovers. With a wide array of sandwich varieties, along with an assortment of other snacks and drinks, there's something to tantalise every taste bud.

The Market House Deli fast food restaurant is a step back in time, with its decor reminiscent of a classic grocery store from New York or another American city at the beginning of the 20th century. The attention to detail and the lovingly decorated space will transport you to a bygone era.
The walls are lined with shelves of tinned food and boxes, as well as various vintage posters and billboards. There is also an old icebox, which is now used only for decoration and is no longer in actual use. This old model was cooled with a block of ice, which had to be replaced daily.
Above the counter, where you can help yourself to sandwiches, sweet pastries and other snacks, hang sausages that look pretty real – just like they used to in the small corner shop.
The dining area at Market House Deli is thoughtfully furnished to create a cosy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for lingering over a meal, especially during the winter months. The large oven, a unique feature from a house in Baltimore, Maryland, adds to the warmth of the space. The only thing missing is a talented pianist to complete the perfect dining atmosphere.
When the weather is pleasant, we highly recommend the outdoor seating on the small side street. Here, you can bask in the sunshine, enjoy your meal, and soak in the lively atmosphere of Main Street.

Incidentally, the Market House Deli also has one of the telephones connected to the Main Street community connection, the Party Line. If you pick up the receiver, you can listen in on your neighbours' conversations and learn some juicy or funny details.

The menu
Sandwiches, croque monsieur, quiche, and salads comprise the central part of the menu. There are also various sweet baked goods such as muffins and cakes. In the morning, they only serve breakfast, which (as is customary in France) consists exclusively of croissants and pain au chocolat. The other dishes are only available at lunchtime.

While the term 'delicatessen' might be a bit of a stretch for the food on offer, there's no denying that it's absolutely delicious.

Tips for Market House Deli

Before heading home, you can conveniently buy the necessary travel provisions here. The delicious and well-packaged sandwiches will ensure you're prepared and ready for your journey.
If you don't like the breakfast at the hotels, or if you simply get up too late for it or haven't booked breakfast at all, you're sure to find an alternative here. However, please note that only sweet dishes are available until approximately 11 a.m. Sandwiches are only available from lunchtime onwards.
This restaurant is usually not very busy in the morning. It gets very crowded at lunchtime, then the rush subsides again.
