Welcome to Rémy’s world! At Bistrot Chez Rémy, you shrink to the size of a small rat and experience French cuisine from a completely new perspective.

Place de Rémy in Disney Adventure World is home to one of the most unusual restaurants in Disneyland Paris. Located directly beside Ratatouille: The Adventure, Bistrot Chez Rémy continues the film’s story and lets you become part of Rémy’s culinary world. After racing through Gusteau’s kitchen in the attraction, you can take a seat in the restaurant and sample Rémy’s cooking for yourself.

From the moment you step inside, it is clear how central the theming is to the restaurant. You are not simply a guest in a French bistro, but in a world where Rémy and his friends might live. Everything around you is enormous: jam jar lids become tables, champagne corks serve as seats, while oversized plates, pieces of cutlery and cookery books let you see the world from Rémy’s perspective.

This attention to detail makes Bistrot Chez Rémy one of the most popular restaurants in Disneyland Paris. References to Ratatouille can be found throughout, and fans of the little master chef will recognise many familiar elements. You start spotting them in the restaurant’s foyer, where you are welcomed.

The menu features French bistro cuisine that fits the restaurant’s story. The focus, however, is clearly on the overall experience. Bistrot Chez Rémy is not a gourmet restaurant, but a lovingly designed themed restaurant where atmosphere, story and food come together.

If you enjoy impressive Disney theming, a visit to Bistrot Chez Rémy is one of the more distinctive experiences of a trip to Disneyland Paris. If, however, you want to be sure of getting the best culinary experience in the resort, this may not be the right place for you. Above all, the restaurant is about spending some time as part of the world of Ratatouille.

Bistrot Chez Rémy is one of the most popular restaurants at Disneyland Paris, but not necessarily for the reason you might expect. The food naturally plays an important role, but the real star is the unusual design. The main reason to visit this restaurant is to become part of the world of Ratatouille yourself.

Bistrot Chez Rémy is particularly suitable if you:

  • are a big fan of Ratatouille and want to immerse yourself in Rémy’s world
  • love restaurants with elaborate Disney theming
  • are looking for a special experience that perfectly complements Ratatouille: The Adventure
  • are visiting with children who will enjoy discovering the enormous details and seeing the world from the perspective of a small rat
  • are looking for a table-service restaurant inside the park
  • want to use the meal vouchers included in your Meal Plan

Bistrot Chez Rémy is less suitable if you:

  • do not want a set menu
  • are expecting a quiet, upmarket French restaurant
  • want to eat as cheaply as possible
  • have little interest in a restaurant’s story and design

Rémy and Emile are not available for a Meet & Greet at Bistrot Chez Rémy, despite this being asked surprisingly often. The two characters occasionally appear outside the restaurant, but there is no scheduled Meet & Greet here.

A visit is particularly worthwhile if you see the restaurant for what it is: one of the most beautiful themed restaurants at Disneyland Paris and the perfect continuation of a ride on Ratatouille: The Adventure.

Discover the little details at Bistrot Chez Rémy

At Bistrot Chez Rémy, it is worth taking the time to look carefully around the restaurant. The many small details complete the illusion that you have really shrunk to the size of a rat. Almost everything around you continues the story and has been designed as though Rémy and his friends had built their own restaurant from ordinary everyday objects.

Huge geranium leaves and strings of lights above your head create a cosy atmosphere. The tables look as though they are made from jam jar lids, the chairs resemble champagne corks, and oversized objects from the human world have been given completely new functions throughout the restaurant.

The scale of the work behind the design is impressive. Bistrot Chez Rémy has 13 different table designs, while around 2,000 geranium leaves cover the ceiling. A team of three painted them all by hand over a period of two years. These details show how much work went into designing the restaurant.

With around 370 seats, Bistrot Chez Rémy is one of the largest restaurants at Disneyland Paris. Even so, the different areas and carefully designed details create plenty of smaller corners where the illusion of Rémy’s world remains intact.

French cuisine at Bistrot Chez Rémy

At Bistrot Chez Rémy, you can expect French bistro cuisine that fits the world of Ratatouille. Rather than offering an extensive menu, Rémy’s kitchen serves a limited selection of dishes as a set menu: classic, straightforward and in keeping with the restaurant’s story.

Rémy’s famous ratatouille is naturally included and served as a side dish. There is a choice of main courses, including meat, fish and vegetarian options. A separate children’s menu is also available.

Bistrot Chez Rémy is not a fine-dining restaurant, so there is no need to feel intimidated. The food suits the concept, but the experience is the main focus. If you would like to dine in one of the resort’s most impressive settings, this is the right place for you.

Tips on Bistrot Chez Remy

  • Reservations are strongly recommended. Bistrot Chez Rémy is one of the most sought-after restaurants at Disneyland Paris and is often fully booked, so reserve a table as early as possible.
  • Arrange your meal for after a ride on Ratatouille: The Adventure. That way, you first travel through the kitchen with Rémy before sitting down in the middle of his world.
  • After your meal, take a few minutes to look around the different areas of the restaurant at your leisure. Many of the best details are only noticed on a second look.
  • Do not forget your camera, as there is plenty to photograph here. The different seating areas and many small details make the restaurant a great place for photos. Please be considerate of other guests enjoying their meal.
  • Not keen on sweet desserts? The Brie de Meaux on the menu is a distinctly French alternative and a fitting way to round off your meal.
