This restaurant dedicated to Walt Disney is located on the left side of Main Street and is undoubtedly one of the top addresses in the entire resort. It serves American dishes with a French and European touch. The menu also includes some of Walt Disney's favourite dishes.
The façade is painted in a friendly, light colour, and the interior is stylish and elegant. The restaurant spans two floors. The lower floor is elegant but not particularly themed. It serves as the restaurant's entrance hall. There used to be seating and an outdoor area here, but these had to make way for Lilly's Boutique (named after Walt Disney's wife) on the ground floor of the restaurant.
As soon as you enter the foyer, you feel transported back in time to a luxurious restaurant from the turn of the century.
As you ascend the stairs, which all restaurant guests take who do not opt for the stylish lift, you'll be taken on a historical journey of Walt Disney's path to success through photographs. The story begins here with Mickey Mouse, continues with Snow White, and extends to the planning of Disneyland in Anaheim, California.
The upper floor is a treasure trove of diverse room designs, each dedicated to a different country in the park. The level of imagination and attention to detail in each room is truly remarkable, inviting you to explore and uncover new discoveries.
Adventureland: Here, you feel as if you have arrived in an Arabian oasis, with a tent in one part of the room that creates a sense of tranquillity.
Discoveryland: The most beautiful of all the rooms, its interior is reminiscent of a room in Captain Nemo's Nautilus. Everything is fantastically designed down to the smallest detail.
Fantasyland: This part is represented by a Gothic-style room.
Frontierland: This room appears to visitors like an old library with a beautiful fireplace.
Memorabilia of Walt Disney is scattered throughout the restaurant, and a particular masterpiece in this regard is the menu, which is adorned with various pictures from Walt Disney's life.
Visitors to this restaurant should not only enjoy first-class food but also be introduced to the theme of Main Street U.S.A. and the entire park, while promoting an understanding of Walt Disney's perspective. If you don't focus exclusively on your food, but let your gaze wander over the walls of this restaurant, you will certainly succeed and discover many interesting things.
