The stage is generously laid out and uses several levels, plus moving elements and projections, to bring the various Pixar worlds to life. Set, light and movement work together in a way that keeps changing over the course of the show.

The close link between music and scene is central. The live band accompanies the action throughout and makes sure the individual sections are connected not just visually but in sound as well. Familiar melodies are reworked here and combined with specially composed pieces, which produces a dynamic of its own, noticeably different from other shows in the park.

The transitions between the worlds are handled fluidly and return again and again to the story around Charlie. Dancers, singers and performers let the scenes develop organically rather than as separate, disconnected sections. What emerges is an overall picture that works visually and emotionally.
