The Storybook Store is located on Town Square, right next to City Hall.
Here, you can buy books, CDs, stationery, mobile phone accessories, and a variety of small souvenirs.
Step into the Storybook Store and you'll be greeted by a rich history. Tigger, the friendly character, used to welcome you at the entrance, ready to stamp your books with the current date. It was a tradition that made you feel like a part of the story, just like a librarian would do with your book before you took it home.
Then Tigger took a break, because such a job is exhausting, after all. But he was replaced by a very worthy substitute: a giant Duffy, who no longer had a stamp, but waved to you in a friendly manner. Of course, the friendly Disney Bear couldn't do this job forever, so after a few years of service, he was also given a break. The already very experienced Tigger has taken over as his replacement, but unfortunately, he no longer has a stamp with him.
The Storybook Store's range has also changed over the years. In the early years, almost exclusively books, films and CDs in various languages were sold, but the range has now been reduced to mainly French-language titles. The store primarily offers children's books, colouring books, and notebooks, whereas in the past, it also sold various non-fiction books.
The Storybook Store's interior design is a unique blend of nostalgia and charm. Inspired by the library featured in the film 'The Music Man', it's a sight to behold. This film musical, dating back to 1962, is based on the Broadway musical of the same name, and the store's design pays homage to its timeless appeal.
