Meet Disney characters - Meet Mickey Mouse & Co at Disneyland Paris

Who doesn't dream of meeting their favourite Disney characters in person? At Disneyland Paris, this dream becomes reality. Whether it's spontaneous encounters, scheduled meet & greets, or a delightful meal with Mickey, Minnie, or the enchanting Disney princesses – the options are as diverse as the characters themselves.

Disney characters are abundant throughout the resort, creating an atmosphere of excitement and wonder. During the daily Disney Stars on Parade, a multitude of familiar characters, from Donald Duck to Peter Pan, wave to you, offering the most extensive collection of Disney characters you can experience in one moment. With fixed meeting points, themed encounters, and virtual queues for some meet-and-greets, the process is designed to make your experience even more relaxed and enjoyable.

Character Dining, the unique experience of having a meal with Disney characters, offers a relaxed and convenient way to meet your favourites. No need to wait in line – they come right to your table, making your dining experience even more magical.

Guests of Disney Hotels also have some exceptional opportunities to meet Disney characters. This is especially true at the Disneyland Hotel with the Royal Encounter and the Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel, where Marvel heroes await you at the Super Hero Station.

Don't forget to bring your camera or Disney PhotoPass – and, of course, your autograph book, as many characters are happy to take the time to sign a personal dedication and pose for a photo.

Small children, from time to time, might be a bit scared by meeting Mickey Mouse and other Disney characters. When visiting Disneyland Paris with toddlers, consider meeting a Disney character in the park before booking a meal. This way, you can plan your character encounters and make the most of your magical experience.

So, why wait? The magic of meeting your beloved Disney characters awaits you at Disneyland Paris. Don't miss out on this enchanting experience!

How can I meet the Disney characters at Disneyland Paris?

There are various ways to meet the Disney stars from film and television stars in the parks – from a spontaneous handshake to an exclusive meal. Here is an overview of the most important options:

In attractions

Some characters have their own permanently open meet-and-greet locations, which count as attractions. These include:

  • Meet Mickey Mouse in Fantasyland
  • Princess Pavilion for the Disney princesses
  • Starport in Discoveryland (usually with Darth Vader)
  • Hero Training Centre in Avengers Campus (with Marvel superheroes)
  • Meet Olaf in the Animation Celebration building at Walt Disney Studios Park

Disneyland Paris has introduced a convenient virtual queue system for several character encounters, which you can easily book via the Disneyland Paris app. This eliminates the need to queue on site, allowing you to relax and enjoy the park while you wait. You will be notified via the app as soon as it is your turn, relieving you from the stress of waiting in line.

At designated meeting places

Both parks have designated areas where you can regularly meet Disney characters. You can always find the exact times and characters in the Disneyland Paris app, which lists all current meet-and-greets with times, locations, and waiting times. It's always worth taking a look, as the offer changes regularly and characters are temporarily replaced.

Here are some of the encounters currently offered in the parks:

  • Balu – at the straw hut next to the Hakuna Matata restaurant in Adventureland
  • Aladdin or his friends – at the magic lamp near the Agrabah Café
  • Winnie the Pooh – at the Boarding House on Town Square in Main Street U.S.A.
  • Jessie and/or Woody – in Worlds of Pixar in Walt Disney Studios Park

Keep your eyes open for spontaneous character encounters-these unexpected moments often turn out to be the most exciting. You never know when you might suddenly bump into Goofy, Chip and Dale or even Stitch.

In Restaurants

With Character Dining, Mickey, Minnie, Pluto or the Disney Princesses come right to your table. These experiences are among the most popular offerings at the resort. You can currently enjoy them at the following locations:

  • Plaza Gardens Restaurant (breakfast or dinner with Mickey and friends)
  • Auberge de Cendrillon (lunch or dinner with the Disney Princesses)
  • Royal Banquet at the Disneyland Hotel (buffet with Mickey and Minnie in royal outfits)
  • La Table de Lumière at the Disneyland Hotel (exclusive menu with princesses and princes)

Reservations are not just recommended, they are essential for these popular dining experiences. Hotel guests can book up to 12 months in advance, while day guests can book up to three days before their visit. This ensures that you can plan your visit and avoid any disappointment.

Further possibilities

  • Spontaneously:
With a bit of luck, you may encounter Disney characters in the park without any prior announcement, adding a touch of enchantment to your visit. Whether it's Goofy on Main Street U.S.A., Peter Pan in Adventureland or Stitch in Discoveryland, these spontaneous encounters are always possible. These encounters are usually brief, but particularly heartwarming, leaving you with a delightful memory.
  • At the parade and in shows:
During the daily parade and shows, you'll see many characters together on stage or on their floats. Although you usually can't take personal photos here, you can experience countless characters at the same time – a real highlight for Disney fans.

Meet the Disney Princesses
