Disneyland Paris is often referred to as the “Happiest Place on Earth”. To keep it that way, some rules are necessary, especially since so many people from all over the world get together with very different habits. So all visitors to Disneyland can feel comfortable and enjoy their stay, there are a few things that everyone should know before visiting the resort. It's recommended to get an overview before your Disney holiday. You can find out what is allowed in the resort, what behavior is desired and which things you should better avoid by looking at the park regulations. Over all, the park regulations for Disneyland Paris are usually common sense and you will probably unconsciously comply with all regulations. However, if you have special needs or would like to know something very specific, it is better to take a closer look at the park regulations.
The park regulations for Disneyland Paris not only list prohibitions, they also contain some basic information, for example that the entire resort is under video surveillance and that access controls are in place for security reasons. There are also tips for people with disabilities and pregnant women, because Disney tries to make sure that every visitor can experience the Disney magic, but some attractions are simply not suitable for some people or in certain situations.

There is a security check at the entrance to the Disney Parks and the entrance to Disney Village that you must pass through. Your bags are checked, larger backpacks or suitcases have to be opened or pushed through a scanner.
It should go without saying, but sometimes it's better to name things. Therefore, here is a list of things that you are not allowed to take to the theme parks:
In your own interest, you should not take bulky items into the park as they only hinder you. Hand these things in to the luggage storage, right in front of the park entrance.
Food and drinks
The rumor that it is absolutely forbidden to take food and drinks to Disneyland Paris is persistent.
Small snacks such as sandwiches, fruit and sweets are perfectly fine, as are drinks in plastic bottles or cardboard boxes. As always, the following applies here: The quantity matters! A couple of these snacks in your backpack or handbag are accepted without any problems. However, cool bags packed with food for the whole family are not very popular and must be kept outside.
If you want to have a real picnic, there is a large picnic area between Disney Village and the main car park.
This point seems to be necessary to mention it.
Please note that it is not permitted to walk barefoot at Disneyland Paris. In addition, you are not allowed to walk around without a shirt.
It should normally be clear, but just to be on the safe side, we also mention this point: Access to the two Disney parks is of course only possible with a valid ticket for Disneyland Paris. This is controlled at turnstiles at the park entrance.
Access restricted attractions
There are some restricted attractions at Disneyland Paris. These access restrictions are for security reasons and must therefore always be observed without exception. The faster an attraction is, the more restrictions are there of course.
At the entrance to each attraction you will find a board with the restrictions, if any, listed. There is also a cast member who you can inquire about for details.
When boarding and while driving, it is important to listen to the instructions of the cast members and to follow their safety instructions.
There are special waiting areas in front of the entrances to the various attractions, which in most cases are roped off by bars, ropes or chains. Please follow the queue and do not push yourself or climb over barriers. Cast members can deny guests access to an attraction if they do not abide by the rules.
Incidentally, there is also a strict no smoking policy in the waiting areas - please stick to it so as not to bother other guests, especially since there are many waiting areas in closed rooms.
If you want to leave a queue, take the shortest route out or contact a cast member who will be happy to help you.
Smoking has been banned at Disneyland Paris since 2008. An exception to this rule are some smoking areas, which you can find at various locations in the resort. These smoking areas are usually equipped with benches and ashtrays and are located somewhat off the main routes. However, smoking is prohibited in the restaurants, waiting areas, attractions, shops and all other areas of the resort.
Originally there was no alcohol for purchase at Disneyland Paris. This strict regulation was relaxed shortly after the opening. Today you can enjoy wine or beer with your meal in all table service restaurants or refresh yourself with a cocktail beforehand. You can also choose between wine and beer in the buffet restaurants if you want to drink an alcoholic drink with your meal. In the fast-food restaurants, you can usually buy canned beer, which strictly speaking is only be sold with a meal in order to prevent visitors from getting drunk and possibly disturbing other guests.
