Town Square Photography
Photographs, cameras, films & accessories
Please note: the Town Square Photography shop is now closed!
George Eastman ran a photo studio in Town Square, where you could not only have your photos developed and printed, but also purchase a variety of useful accessories.
The owner of Town Square Photography had moved with the times. Whereas he had once sold traditional film, he later stocked memory cards for digital cameras. Film development had also advanced, and since there was no longer a need to develop pictures, you could have them printed on top-quality photo paper.
If you wanted to store your photos in style, Town Square Photography offered a selection of small photo albums and a few frames.
George Eastman had also taken his camera to Disneyland Paris and captured some beautiful snapshots, which could be purchased as postcards in his shop.
Townsquare Photography was a shop on Main Street that you didn't leave right after finishing your shopping, because its interior resembled a museum of photography.
George Eastman was not just a simple shopkeeper, but also the founder of the well-known Kodak brand. He used his shop on Main Street to display some historical cameras, some of which dated from between 1890 and 1920 and were genuine rarities. Mr Eastman would never have dreamed of displaying replicas in his shop, so all the cameras he showed were originals.
