Disneyland Paris: Extra Magic Time

An hour when Disneyland Park or Disney Adventure World is open just for you? Well, not just for you, but for a much smaller group of guests. If you’re staying at one of the Disney Hotels or Villages Nature Paris, or have a Disneyland Pass Gold (annual pass), Extra Magic Time allows you to enter one or both Disney Parks before regular opening.

That extra time in the morning can make a noticeable difference. While many day visitors are still waiting outside the entrances, you’ll already be inside the park and able to visit some attractions. This can be particularly useful for popular attractions, where queues are often considerably shorter at the start of Extra Magic Time than later in the day. However, not all attractions, restaurants and shops are necessarily open. What is available can vary depending on the day and the park.

The start of Extra Magic Time can vary as well. So don’t base your plans on a fixed time. Before your visit, check the official opening times or the Disneyland Paris app. There you can see when Extra Magic Time begins on the day of your visit and whether it is offered at one or both parks.

Which attractions are open during Extra Magic Time can also change. It can be particularly useful for popular attractions such as Peter Pan's Flight, Big Thunder Mountain or Crush's Coaster, provided they are already open that morning. Disney character encounters may also be available.

How it works – making the most of Extra Magic Time at Disneyland Paris

  • It’s best to check the Disneyland Paris app the evening before to see when Extra Magic Time starts the following morning and which Disney Park is offering it.
  • Make sure you arrive at the park entrance in good time. You’ll need your ticket and proof that you’re eligible for Extra Magic Time, for example your MagicPass or Disneyland Pass Gold.
  • Only selected attractions are open during Extra Magic Time, and the selection can change. Once you’re in the park, the Disneyland Paris app gives you a good overview of what is open.
  • If possible, use the first part of Extra Magic Time for attractions where queues tend to get longer as the day goes on. In Disneyland Park, these include Peter Pan's Flight and Big Thunder Mountain, while in Disney Adventure World Crush's Coaster is one example.
  • Don’t cut it too fine. If Extra Magic Time starts at 8.30 am, for example, there’s little point in arriving at the entrance at 8.30 am. Getting there a few minutes earlier gives you considerably more of that extra time in the park.
